First real wood case with one suggestion

Beautifully made with an exceptional fit to the iPhone 15 Pro. I’ve always wanted a wood case and the Kerf fit the bill. Suggestion: increase the thickness of the back cover (internal pad or the wood). The cameras on the 15 Pro are just slight proud and the camera protector ring was overkill for what I wanted. Would only take another 0.010” or less to be flush to sub-flush. One issue. Have only had the case for a 2 days and there is already a crack on the front face side of the USB-C port. No drops, only carried in my pocket. Don’t see this being a long term issue but will keep an eye on it over time.

This is my second purchase. The case fits perfectly and has a wonderful wood texture. The more you use it, the more you can enjoy the change in the color of the wood.

Great Unique Phone Case

The phone case is great. It took about a month to arrive after placing the order. Definitely worth the wait. The price tag might seem a bit high but keeping in mind phone cases from leading brands cost $50+ it’s a good deal, especially because it’s hand made. One note I would make is that the ring, around the camera is not the same piece of wood as the case, it is glued on. The bond is extremely strong and I would still recommend getting the ring add on 10/10. Also, if you buy this I recommend treating it like a leather phone case, or a wooden floor, as in, it’s not going to stay in 100% condition, but that’s what gives character to it. There may be some small scratches over some time, or some raised grain wood. But, these don’t make it any worse, if anything, they make it better. A good example of this is the Statue of Liberty I think, it was originally copper, but aged into that beautiful green color. That being said if you scratch it or raise the grain I recommend using coconut oil if you want to get it pristine again if you like the brand new look over the aged “patina” look.

I waited for my case for a month and a half so be patient if you order one. The case itself looks awesome though. There could have been more time taken to hide the felt that’s on the inside and around the edges.

The case is extremely light. The buttons function as they should. My only disappointment was the lack of premium packaging. It does come with a dust bag which is a nice touch but for the price I payed for the case and the additional price of adding on the camera guard (which I believe should be included in the original price) I should have definitely received this case in a package I can store it in. My other premium cases all come with nice packaged for storage.

Made decent 4.5 stars.

The item is nice and looks great so far. The shipping time was crazy long so get something in the mean time. The fit is 9.5 out of 10. Build quality so far is great. Small gaps that could be a little better but that is getting picky. I would love another one but the price of the one I want is insane. So if this holds up like I hope maybe one day. Camera ring option is a must. They shouldn’t even offer it with out one

Another Outstanding Case From Kerf!

Love my new iPhone case from Kerf! This is my 3rd case from Kerf (all for different phones!) and the quality and workmanship continue to be fantastic. It fits the phone perfectly and looks great.

Just received my 3rd kerf case in 9 years - each was for a newer phone. Hard stop. I satisfied customer returns to companies with great products.  How they recommend.

exactly what I hoped it would be

Nice case. Had to return it.

I pre-ordered a Maple case for iPhone 15 Pro. When it finally arrived, I was really happy with how it turned out. It snapped on easily, for a snug, secure fit, and the buttons were nice and clicky. I was very pleased with it until I tied to place it on a MagSafe charger, and it slid right off. Unfortunately, while the case was nice, it was definitely not MagSafe compatible. Not because it wasn’t fit with an array of magnets - I could clearly see that it was - but because those magnets are extraordinarily weak and could not withstand the weight of the phone. In fact, I took the phone out and tried just the case, and, unfortunately, the array of magnets were not even strong enough to hold that in place. Same results for my MagSafe car mount. Even just laying it flat on a MagSafe puck, the magnets in the case were not sufficient to even pull it proper alignment. The spacing of the magnets seemed off as well, so it’s also possible that I just got a bad case. If not, than hopefully future cases will include more, and much stronger magnets in its MagSafe array. If that gets resolved, I would definitely give Kerf case another try.

This my 3rd wooden Kerf iPhone case. Each has been meticulously prepared. The C7 Corvette emblem is a perfect representation of the real thing. When out dining and other locations where I’ve placed the phone case on a table, I’ve received numerous compliments. The company does great work and they were there when I needed to get a replacement due to my negligence. A quality company that does high quality work.

Awesome case

Gorgeous case, be aware of MagSafe limitation

There’s no question that I paid a premium for this case and I got a gorgeous product. Although I bought it for myself, not to get noticed… it does get noticed. I have not had it long enough to know how the color/finish changes with time. So far the only drawback is that the mag-safe connection is a bit weak. It will charge easily through the case, but if your charging device is vertical or strongly tilted, the magnetic “grip” may not be strong enough to hold it, unlike how it is when the phone is bare. (Of course you can take it out of the case easily enough, but…just something to be aware of if that’s important to you.
